in case anyone's wondering, i've decided to remove all my fitness stuff from this blog. no worries, i'm still nuts about keeping fit, i just thought i'd keep this blog more henna/my mundane life related, that's all. will there be a dedicated exercise/diet blog by me? maybe, insya Allah ..... stay tuned *grins*

there are alot of things i wanted to blog about, especially about amir the adorable (yeah yeah, he's my life and i'm boring, so what?). heh. firstly, he now has 6 chiclet teeth and secondly, his latest obsession is clapping his hands whilst giggling loudly (cutie wombat he certainly is!). i took many photos of him but thanks to a current home and office pc update to win xp, i am unable to upload the photos from the creaky old moldy ixus. to make matters worse, the software installation disk is missing in action. heh heh, what a ridiculous reason to not blog. oh well, humour me people, i'm nursing a freaking headache right now. heh.

luckily my cellphone has a nifty camera so .... here's amir the adorable ....

after a crazy, jam-packed month of back to back henna gigs in december (12 gigs in total!), i fully appreciate the total calm and quiet (after the storm?) in january. maybe january is a bad month to get hitched, i dunno. what i know is i didn't have any gigs and as much as i am a crazed, fanatical hennamaniac (who'd henna anything that moves), i was happy to chuck the cones deep into the dark recesses of the freezer and pretend that they never existed. for a whole month i didn't even peep in there to see how they are doing. for a whole glorious month, my hands were not dotted with stains of orange, red and brown hues. for a whole marvelous month, my house didn't smell like a eucalyptus plantation.

it was nice but .... strange ...

cos i'm an addict, and a hardcore one at that. and so i coaxed my neglected cones out of the freezer and did my very first henna gig for 2005 last friday. the bride-to-be chose a well-used pattern that i love very much for its sheer simplicity and elegance, but slowly getting sick of doing. it gets chosen so often that i could do it backwards with my eyes closed while doing the hokey-pokey. heh. ok, i'm exaggerating, but you get my drift, eh?

*sigh* new henna resolution *must re-vamp portfolio*.

anyways, i think she's happy. she reported that the stain was "damn red!". ahhhh, nothing like another well-satisfied customer. alhamdulillah :).

i just managed to snap a photo of her feet.

note: this pic was taken while the paste is still on the skin. henna will only stain in a myriad of orange, red and brown hues. if it's black, it's poison, not henna.

for once, monday is such a gorgeous day! *rubs hands in glee* i am so looking forward to tomorrow and the days to come. have a great holiday week, peeps!

contrary to popular beliefs, i did not swallow a chiclet (or 2) and die. heh. you, yes you, are very witty, my dear friend.

"so why oh why did you torture us faithful readers of your silly blog 2 weeks of the totally absurd chiclet story?" one might muse ...

what else but the freaking four-letter word.

work, of course! what? you think it's the "other" four-letter word? tsk tsk tsk ....

i won't waste precious blog space indulging the whys and whats and hows and whos. suffice to say, i was not human for about 2 weeks. try getting only 3 hours of sleep everyday for 2 weeks and you'll know what i mean. if you could pull that off and not rip someone's head off at the end of it, wow, you're my hero.

my heartfelt and profuse apologies to those who bore the brunt of my brief monstrosity. i'll still love you, headless and all. and i heart and cherish every one of you who still come by here even though the chiclet baby is on re-runs (it WAS a good story! i know you guys love it! heh!). your funny messages warmed my heart and made me less vicious (music and nice words soothe the raging beast).

insya Allah, after a well-deserved rest (a weekend's worth of sleep maybe?) i'll have more time to blog voyuer and leave my 2 cents (oh what the heck, make it 5 cents) worth on your tagboards and such.

oh and *ahem* ... if you have some time tomorrow, come on down to singapore polytechnic convention centre to catch a glimpse of singapore idol, taufik batisah in action. he'll be a-dancing and a-singing and a-batting lush eyelashes from 12:30 - 1:30pm. be there or be an ah beng. heh.
