It's ALL about HENNA!
Tuesday, August 03, 2004
I met up with Red & Ezayu on Monday for fondue and henna. Being fondue virgins that they both are, their eyes light up like a Christmas tree when it arrived. And I don't blame them at all.
A tray bearing a white pot filled with luscious melted Belgian chocolate *droolsville*, a plate full of fat, droolsworthy cubes of ice cream in assorted flavours, another plate of cut up bananas, strawberries and green apples and a small pot of chopped nuts (what kind? peanuts? who cares, looky at the chocolate!!!). Oh yeah, not to forget spears and little spoons to ... err ... attack the ice cream and fruits with. We were all salivating but we restrained ourselves for a little photo-taking (Ayu, hurry!). Then the 3 of us went right into battle. The ice cream was wonderful and the chocolate, just fantastic! It didn't take long for us to wipe everything off the tray (yes, we even scooped the chocolate with the little spoons and licked everything clean ... hee!). Greedy greedy girls *chocolate grins*

We decided that the night is still young and since the company is so good and that we are high on cocoa, let's have a cuppa shall we? And so we did at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Red had latte .... and me and Ayu had hot chocolate (my cowardly tummy HATES coffee ... boo!). Whilst carefully sipping the gorgeous hot choc, Red suddenly whipped out her freshly made henna mini-cone and so started our henna painting session (YAY!). Heh, what do you expect when you hang out with hennaphiles? It would be almost sinful NOT to have henna done on you.
Oh, I HAVE to announce the debut of Ezayu's henna painting talent! Red was the very brave model ... hee!

Clockwise from right: Red's on Ayu, Red's on Jewel, Ayu's on Red, Jewel's on Red
I did Moroccan (my favourite!) on Red and I kinda like the effect of this pattern. As Red suggested, I've decided not to fill up the triangle in the centre (as I normally would) and opted for a smaller filled-up triangle instead. A few dashes and dots completed the look. What do you think? Nice eh?? Melikes

Moroccan pattern by moi!
So ladies, shall we do it again?? Red you can't be a sissy and quit on us ... and for the last time, the chocolate is NOT spiked .... (scaredy cat you!)
......................... out!
