i was there ....

lovely place, tasteful decor, gorgeous scents, jasmine flowers, water feature, dimmed lightings, wooden flooring, wooden staircase, lush greens, batik sarong, paddy-field mural, charming ladies, women only ....

my body was kneaded, scrubbed, slathered with yoghurt and wrapped like "ikan bakar" (BBQ fish for the uninitiated). whilst waiting for the "fish" to be done, a beautifully scented cream was rubbed gently to my scalp and hair. the massage loosened the tight knots around my shoulder blades, neck, lower back and feet. the scrub and yoghurt left my skin all soft and baby smooth (and less dull-looking, i swear!!). i emerged from that place feeling totally like a queen and smelling better than i ever had.

*sitting here, sniffing hair*

*admires soft, smooth skin*

*sigh*

methinks a monthly ritual as such won't kill my piggy bank, eh?
