a fat lot of good a bit of retail therapy can do to a person. i've been a little melancholic for sometime over a few personal matters (we shall NOT go into that, nosirree!) and that sentiment is clearly evident in the previous entry (so dramamama right? urgh!). but life is such. full of ups and downs, highs and lows. what is life without trials and tribulations? thank Allah we have Him to turn back to all the time. unlike humans, He does not abandon us. Alhamdulillah! these trials and tribulations are only there to make us a better person, a better muslim, insya Allah.

anyways, i'm truly touched by all your comments. thank you for cheering me up and making me realise that we should count our blessings more than bitch about our woes. *big virtual hug all around*

ok *ahem* back to retail therapy. dum dee doo ...

eversince i received that letter with a "golden ticket", nope not to willy wonka's chocolate factory (tho i wish it was!), i've been flitting in and out of M1 shops to stare, survey and ponder on all the latest handphone models. yes, MY golden ticket is a $500 handset upgrade voucher (YIPPEEDAY!). because i'm such a prized customer of M1, i will receive a golden ticket every year. GO ME!

i can't seem to decide if i should stay true to nokia, or venture out to other brands. i've heard raving reviews of this and that brand and model, but i'm as fickle as a bee in a garden of blooming flowers. i simply could not make up my mind. it doesn't help that i'm super anal-retentive. ok, i need a phone that can play FM radio. hmmm, if it doubles up as an mp3 player, all the better! oh wait, that one has an mp3 player but no FM radio. and WHOA! this one has a 2 megapixel camera! waitaminit, i have a new 5 megapixel digicam, so i don't really need that feature. oh and i need one with bluetooth and the all those other fancy thingamajigs. ARGH! decisions, decisions.

but no fear, i didn't drive myself crazy. i finally settled on something. i guess i like it cos it's different. sometimes different is good. and hey, it's white! didja know that white is the new black? it has a huge screen (great for myopic old geezers like me). it has everything else that i needed and more. the best part? i'll get it for nothing. zero. nada. zilch. kosong. i was sold. and after many many weeks, i finally made up my mind. i have in my possession, the O2 xphone IIm. say hello, everyone!
