for the past 2 months i've been hooked on watching reruns of E.R. (for the uninitiated, it's a medical drama revolving around doctors and nurses in an emergency room in a fictitious hospital in chicago). it's now showing, everyday, on the hallmark channel. and it starts at midnight. so without fail, at the stroke of midnight, i'll park myself in front of the idiot-box to ogle at dr doug ross (young george clooney, y'all! WOOT!), and immerse myself into the magical world of cute but strung-up doctors, efficient but gossipy nurses and blood, gore and death. what an exciting place the ER is.

yes i know the show first came out in 1994. yes i know that i'm 13 years behind. and yes i can hear my fellow mcdreamy-fans clucking away like chickens in the background. don't worry, i still love grey's anatomy and hottie mcdreamy, but ER is addictive as hell. seriously, i now fully understand why its one of the longest-running medical drama series to date. i now totally comprehend why this highly-acclaimed show has won a host of awards over the years, including a record 21 emmys from a staggering 108 nominations. perhaps george clooney had something to do with it, but really, the show packs serious punch with witty and interesting storylines, a great ensemble of actors and the always orgasmic (to me, at least) medical jargons. yeah yeah, i know, i'm weird. heh.

anyhoos, a pal of mine told me i seriously need to get a life, when i told her about my latest addiction. she said, and i quote, wow you actually tune in to the hallmark channel? you need a life. heh. yeah yeah, i know alot of shows on that channel are either has-beens or c-grades, but who cares? ER is as good as it gets, and as long as i'm waiting for grey's third season to finally air here, i might as well get cuddly with some hot docs on ER.
